I am a lover of all things! My friends, family, and puppies 🐶 are my everything; I aspire to inspire those around me while setting a positive example of how to take care of yourself from the inside out. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is before you can tend to anyone else, you have to tend to yourself first! Life can be hard but it’s your attitude that makes all the difference. As a professional, I have been working alongside children who have an array of disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbances…to name a few. As a Behavior Interventionist with the school district I’m employed with, I strive to reach my students on a level that many others cannot by applying trained therapies and behavioral techniques through Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), while coming to understand them on a level they understand and feel comfortable with. Presuming the underdog is less intelligent than their peers is not the case at all. It’s often the underdog who strives to learn and achieve because it’s their open demeanor that shines through. During the last ten years of my career, I have witnessed miracles and milestones because I encourage my students to believe anything is possible and that the world is their oyster! To see the smiles on their faces is what continues to drive me on a daily basis. I came to Loveleigh University with the power of achievement through knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and a willingness to overcome obstacles and challenges that may face me along the way. Patience is kindness and that is what I seek to accomplish within this wonderful community of likeminded individuals. So, let the party 🎉 begin!
